Member Guidelines
Section 1. Anyone who is actively engaged in professional photography from which they derive a portion of their income shall be eligible for membership in the Association.
Section 2. Membership in the Association shall consist of the following [4] classes:
- A. Professional Active Membership: Voting membership consisting of an Owner/Operator of a photography business which holds a State Sales Tax number and a PPA National Membership number. Actives shall have a dues of $25 annually.
- B. Association Membership: Non-voting membership consisting of an individual deriving at least 50% of their income from photography and holding a State Sales Tax number. Professionals shall have a dues of $25 annually.
- C. Friend of GSL: Non-voting membership consisting of an individual service member, student, employee, retiree or other individual which has a vested interest in photography. Friends of GSL shall have a dues of $15 annually.
- D. Honorary or Life Membership: an individual whom the Board of Directors may grant this classification upon their judgment of distinguished service rendered to the Association or the advancement of photography. Life members will be voting members. Annual Dues shall be waived.
Section 3. All applications for membership shall be in writing and accompanied by a dues check payable to the Professional Photographers Association of Greater St. Louis.
Section 4. Dues for Membership in this Association shall be assessed on an annual basis from January 1 through December 31.
Section 5. The Board of Directors of the Association may terminate any membership for any cause upon two-thirds vote providing the member has been furnished a full statement of the charge(s) against him/her and shall have been provided with the opportunity of a hearing thereon. Such action must be in accordance with the by-laws of the Association.
